The focus of the Master’s degree in Foundations and Practices of Sustainability is on so-called “strong” sustainability — the challenges of reducing and limiting energy and material flows so that economic activity is once again compatible with the biosphere and its processes. The goal is to train future actors able to lead and support societal transitions toward ecologically and socially sustainable solutions, by linking theoretical principles to innovative practices through solid analytical tools and practical know-how.

MSc Transdisciplinary Studies of Climate, Environment and Energy (TRACEE)
The Master of Science prepares you to lead change on today’s most pressing challenges — climate change, energy transitions and environmental crises — by breaking disciplinary boundaries and working on transformative solutions. Co-taught by academics from the 11 universities, the programme integrates natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and law so you can understand complex climate–energy–environment systems and design holistic responses. MSc Circular Innovation and Sustainability
Der MSc in Circular Innovation and Sustainability ist ein interdisziplinärer Masterstudiengang, der betriebswirtschaftliche, technische und ökologische Kompetenzen vereint. Studierende erwerben vertieftes Wissen zur Kreislaufwirtschaft, nachhaltiger Entwicklung und Ressourceneffizienz und lernen, innovative Lösungen für komplexe Transformationsprozesse zu gestalten. Das praxisnahe Studium ist flexibel aufgebaut und erlaubt individuelle Spezialisierungen sowie Projektarbeiten mit direktem Anwendungsbezug in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung oder Forschung.
