Mariana Mazzucato is Professor in the Economics of Innovation and Public Value at University College London, where she is Founding Director of the UCL Institute for Innovation & Public Purpose (IIPP). In 2021 she received from the Italian government the title of Grande Ufficiale Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, Italy’s highest civilian honour. Pope Francis appointed her to the Pontifical Academy for Life for bringing ‘more humanity’ to the world. She advises policy makers around the world on innovation-led inclusive and sustainable growth.

Clemens Woegerbauer

Clemens Wögerbauer is the CSO of Holcim (Schweiz) AG for the region Holcim Central Europe West. In this role he is responsible for all topics of sustainability including the focus topics decarbonization and circular economy. To tackle the key challenges of construction in our days from a linear to a circular economy, from a fossil based industry to a decarbonized industry and to drive innovation, forming solid partnerships with customers, start-ups, universities, NGOs and authorities is key.

Judith Walls

Judith Walls is Professor & Chair of Sustainability Management and Director at the Institute of Responsible Innovation, Sustainability and Energy (RISE), and the Delegate (Associate Dean) for Responsibility and Sustainability at the University of St.Gallen. She holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore, an MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh, a PhD in Management from RPI, and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Erb Institute, University of Michigan.

Pascal Bieri

Co-Founder, Planted

Pascal Bieri is a co-founder and member of the Executive Board of Planted. He studied Business Innovation (M.A.) at the University of St. Gallen and subsequently spent five years in various roles at Migros Industrie, including three years in the United States. In 2019, he co-founded Planted, today Europe’s fastest-growing alternative protein scale-up. Planted develops sustainable plant-based protein products using proprietary structuring and fermentation technologies, with the aim of outperforming meat in taste, health, efficiency, and sustainability. Headquartered in Kemptthal, the company is B Corp certified and present in over 6,500 restaurants and more than 10,000 retail outlets across Europe. It works with leading retailers and food service partners in numerous European markets.
